My Favorite Tactic To Increase Your Online Sales
Happy Black Friday, friends!
Being in network marketing for almost 2 years, I have learned a lot about sales. Today I'm going to share with you my favorite tactic: The Perfect Promotion.
Before we get started, as a general rule of thumb in your online business, serve your audience for 3 weeks of the month and then sell for 1. So it’s serve, serve, serve, sell. (Similar to the book Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook. But a catchier, Kristi Monte version).
These 3 weeks of non-selling posts establishes trust and develops a relationship with your audience, so that they know, like, and trust you.
But what do you do during that one, glorious week of selling? I have one word for you: Promote.
The Marketing Rule of 7 states that the average person needs to see or hear something 7 times before they purchase. What we’re going to do is promote one product 7 days in a row.
Step One: Pick a product. Then each day follow this formula to make some money, honey!
Introduce the product on Facebook Live.
Tell them you’re so excited to share with them one of your favorite products and to turn their notifications on for your group because they don’t want to miss what is to come this week. Get them excited!
Before and after pictures or testimonials of the product.
Bonus points if they are yours! But if they aren’t yours, give the woman whose pictures you are using a name. “Sam only used Climate Control for 1 WEEK and we were seriously blown away by what happened. Aren’t those results LIFE CHANGING?!”
Write a post of what the product is made of.
This is purely for educational purposes. If you sell makeup or food, tell them the ingredients. If you sell clothes, highlight the different materials in the product.
Features of the product.
This is a fact. So, in my SeneGence business as an example, this is something like our anti-aging skincare “reduces fine lines and wrinkles.”
Benefits to your customer.
This, however, is based on emotion. For example, our skincare will give my customer “increased self confidence without makeup on.”
YOU demonstrate the product on Live video.
This is to be short (no more than 5 minutes), simple, and to the point. Focus on the ease of the product, and talk about how much you love it.
Price of the product with a limited time offer.
For example, “Purchase this weekend and get a free Climate Control sample!” or “Try it today and get $5 off your next order!” They’ve seen nothing but this same product all week, and this will make them pull the trigger today while it’s fresh in their mind!
Thank those who have purchased so far.
Actually tag them and make them feel special. Say something like, “Since Judy is trying our Hydrating Facial Serum Mist, she is receiving a free makeup bag from me! Who else wants to claim this limited-time offer?”
And that’s it! Friends, I promise if you follow this formula the sales will come rolling in.
